“On The Grid” Boeing B-52 Stratofortresses of the 494th Bombardment Wing

“On the Grid,” is a tribute to Boeing B-52 Stratofortress aircrews who flew the 24-plus hour Operation Chrome Dome missions of the 1960s, and the dedicated mechanics and technicians who kept them flying.

My artwork features a pair of B-52 Stratofortresses assigned to the 494th Bombardment Wing at Sheppard AFB in Texas. The scene depicts the B-52s after they’ve gone “on the grid,” flying over the polar region north of Canada to their refueling area over Alaska.

“On the Grid” is a special 36X12 inch fine art giclee print that is limited to 20 hand-signed and numbered editions. I use 60 lb. acid-free archival paper so the colors will remain true and vibrant for many years without fading or yellowing if properly cared for. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each print.
