Description

“Hustlers” The Convair B-58 Hustler by John Matthews

“Hustlers” features a two ship formation of Convair B-58 Hustler bombers flying over broken clouds. As one plane banks away we can see the Hustler’s distinct delta wing and mission pod.

It’s hard to believe that Convair began developing the B-58 just three years after Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier in the Bell X-1 in 1947.

In 1950 the U. S. Air Force contracted Convair in Fort Worth, Texas, to investigate a bomber with a range of approximately 3,000 miles that could travel at one-and-a half times the speed of sound. They were awarded a Phase 1 development contract, and by 1956 the Hustler took flight for the first time. Hustlers and their crews broke numerous records, and won five major aeronautical trophies (Bendix, Thompson, Mackay, Bleriot, and Harmon trophies).

You can order your fine art print of “Hustlers” today. It’s available as a special edition, which is limited to only 20 prints. Each giclee print is on acid-free 60 Lb. archival paper so it will remain vibrant for years to come. I hand-sign and number each print, which will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity bearing my signature, the print number, and other information.

Shipping is free via USPS Priority Mail.

Fine out more about the Convair B-58 here, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
