Description

“Guarding the Northland” features a formation of McDonnell F-101B Voodoo interceptors flown by “The Happy Hooligans” of the North Dakota Air National Guard’s 119th Tactical Fighter Wing.

The 178th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS), better known as “The Happy Hooligans,” transitioned from Convair F-102 Delta Daggers to the Voodoo in 1969. They flew the two-man interceptor until 1977, when they transitioned to the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom.

I featured a tight formation of “Hooligans” flying their F-101B Voodoos as they climb north over the clouds through the beginning North Dakota sunset.

This is a signed/numbered print limited to only 20 editions. They’re printed on 60 Lb. acid-free paper so colors stay vivid for many years if properly cared for. All prints are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity bearing the print number and my signature.
