“The Scud Seeker” McDonnell Douglas RF-4C Phantom II
“The Scud Seeker” features McDonnell Douglas RF-4C 64-1047, which became better known as “The Iraqi Scud Seeker,” and now resides in the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
64-1047 was accepted by the 16th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron in 1965. She has been flown on aerial reconnaissance missions over Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Europe, Cuba, and the Middle East. She was assigned to the 106th TRS in 1983, and was used to provide tactical photographic reconnaissance during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. 1047 flew a total of 172 missions, more than any other RF-4C, before being retired from service. She had over 7,300 hours of flight time when she was flown to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in 1994.
“The Scud Seeker” is a 24X18 inch fine art print that is limited to 20 hand-signed and numbered editions. Each is printed on 60 lb. acid-free archival paper to ensure colors stay vivid for many, many years to come. All prints are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity bearing my signature, the print number, and other information.
